The Graveyard Book
I am embarrassed to admit that I avoided reading this book, despite the Newbery, due the title - I do not like creepy or scary. It is a wonderful story! I look forward to recommending it to my kids and I know that some will be drawn in by the title and will benefit from the wonderful writing and storytelling.
